Details and drawings

The combined diesel ground power unit supplies all aircraft and helicopter types during pre-flight maintenance at the airport. It consists of a 50 Hz diesel generator set, a 400 Hz frequency converter and a 28 V DC rectifier, giving 3 × 400/230 V 50 Hz, 3 × 200/115 V 400 Hz and 28 V DC outputs.

It works in two modes: self-powered from the internal diesel generator, and hybrid (static) mode from an external 3 × 400 V, 50 Hz supply.
